The boys went Trick or Treating on Sunday dressed as Dash Incredible and Zorro (Ryan decided to wear his costume again from last year.)
This morning waiting for the bus....

We got social visit pics of Nora last night. We miss her so much!

Case update

Got an update tonight from our agency. We will be out of family court within the next 10 days and on to PGN. PGN is taking 8-10 weeks right now IF we don't get any previos which are basically "redo's" that make you start all over from the beginning of PGN wait again.

Lots of photos

Love a smiley girl.

So pretty in my dress.

Got daddy wrapped around her finger already.

Hey Nora, do we look silly in these costumes?

Maybe if we just sit and stare they will go away and stop taking pictures (Nora on right)

Nora tries on the butterfly and quickly decides... GET ME OUT OF THIS THING!!!

What a lovely bracelet I have on. :)

The boys were more than eager to help us open up the things we brought back. Ryan thought the letters were really cool.

We're Home :(

Havent been able to get online since early Wed am. We had to give Nora back to her foster mom Wednesday afternoon. It was hard but you could tell how much love the foster mom has for her babies. The boys are glad to have us home and we missed them alot too. They loved seeing the new photos and video of their baby sister.

We hope to get an update soon on our case. We've had no movement for 5 weeks. We are in family court yet which can take 3-6 weeks after interviews so tomorrow its 5 weeks but still hard to be waiting. Especially now that weve held her.

She is such a sweet little girl and will be a perfect fit for our family!

Fiesta

Yo homey!

With Nora's amigas. (all within about a month of each other)

Showing off her new necklace.

Just ducky

Thats how things are here in Guatemala. Weve met up with more FTC families which is really great. The babies are all so cute. But we still have plenty of time to just hang out in the room and Nora is such a great model!

We got to sit out by the pool with all of Noras new friends but it was a bit windy (and looking like rain) so had to show off her new suit in the room.

Yes she is....

I want to come home!!

She LOVED the bouncy seat up in the family room at the hotel.

Buenos dias

Good Morning! Nora got some sleep last night and woke up smiling and happy. The breakfast buffet here at the hotel is really good. We have met up with many people with our agency so its nice to see other families going thru the process. Enjoy more pictures of Nora. We are loving being able to spend time with her!

Going to bed

We are trying to get her to sleep. She didnt want to take her bottle or nap well for us all day. Hope to get her back on track tomorrow.

Sweet Nora

Is in our arms. She is beyond beautiful. So precious. Her foster mom is taking good care of her as she is healthy and happy. Shes strong and able to hold her head up and likes to kick. Shes smiling and cooing so very cute. She is pure sweetness and love.

We are here!

We had very nice flight into Guatemala City on Saturday. Shortly after we landed it began to rain and was quite foggy with temps in the 60's.
We went to the city of Antigua that afternoon. It is an old colonial city with cobblestone streets and lots of quaint shops. We had dinner back at the hotel at an Italian restaurant.
On Sunday it was again rainy and very foggy but we chose to head to Lake Atitlan as planned. Experienced a bit of car trouble on the way up and got a bit delayed. Another driver was able to come get us and we were able to visit 2 towns, Chichi and Pana. In Chichi they have a big outdoor market on Sunday which was really interesting to walk through. In Pana we ate lunch by the lake and did a bit of shopping but were able to see the volcanos due to severe fog.
Im adding some photos. View coming in on the plane. Antigua. Us in Antigua. Part of the market in Chichi. Then Lake Atitlan.
We feel we have some understanding of how the Guatemalan people truly live. I am so glad we were able to take the time to see part of this country, Nora's birthplace.

They will be calling us within the hour to go meet her for the first time. We are excited, nervous, anxious. Pictures to be posted soon.

October Surprise Visit

Poor Nora did not want to wake up for any pictures. Oh well, still cute as ever. And look at all that hair!

Adios!

We leave early Saturday morning for Guatemala. We plan to do some sightseeing in Antigua and Lake Atitlan over the weekend. Then Monday morning we get to meet Nora for the first time. We can not wait to hold her and kiss her! It will be hard to give her back to her foster mom on Wednesday afternoon but the 3 days we get to spend with her will be priceless.
We plan to try to update the blog with pictures and info daily so check back often.
Adios all!

Congrats to Sara and Rob!

Jim's little sister got married yesterday. Best wishes to the new couple! Heres some family pics. Ryan was ring bearer. It was hard to get anything but a cheesy grin from him and hard to get Evan to sit still.
